PRIMARY PUPILS at RDM Scone yesterday set aside concerns about image to dress in the most ridiculous fashions imaginable. The school’s 60 P7 pupils organised the sponsored “Silly Day” in aid of the Roald Dahl Foundation. Pupils paid for the entertainment of involving their teachers in the fund-raiser and, after a vote, took great delight in dressing teachers Andrea McCully and Brian Lawrence as ‘neds’. All enjoyed taking part in a whole host of silly games and activities. The Roald Dahl Foundation is a UK-based registered charity offering grants to charities, hospitals and individuals in the UK, supporting a wide variety of projects in the same way that the celebrated author did during his lifetime. It offers practical assistance to children and families in three areas—neurology, haematology and literacy. Since its creation in 1991, the foundation has donated more than £4.5 million. |
