ROYAL MAIL staff in Fife are working hard to give customers a first class mail service—and latest figures show they’re succeeding.

For the third quarter this year, the independently monitored figures show that the KY postcode area has again exceeded the national target of 93%, set by the regulator, for first class mail to arrive at its UK destination the next working day after posting.

Quality of service figures for the third quarter of 2005/2006 show that Royal Mail customers in Fife continue to receive one of the best mail services in the country with 95% of mail arriving at its destination the next day.

This result places the KY postcode area in third best position for Quality of Service in Scotland and in the top ten postcode areas within the UK.

John Manson, Royal Mail area manager, said “Royal Mail people throughout the KY postcode area are working hard to give our customers the best in quality of service and these results are testimony to their commitment and hard work.”
