By Stewart Ross WINDOW FALL baby Kayla Brown was back with mum and getting a comforting cuddle from her Auntie Emma yesterday after a dramatic weekend. The 19-month-old miraculously escaped with just minor injuries after tumbling from a first-floor window at her home in Glenrothes into the garden below. Diane (23) and children Kelsey (3) and little Kayla were having a lunchtime nap when the toddler slipped out of Diane’s bed, clambered on to a table and then on to the window sill. The window latch was faulty and moments later the infant tumbled from the first floor bedroom into the garden below. Mercifully, Kayla landed in a small muddy patch next to the house, missing the gravel garden by just inches. She was kept for two nights at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for treatment and observation and allowed home on Sunday. With only a few cuts and grazes to show for her ordeal, Kayla is expected to make a rapid and full recovery. |
