Healthy message

ARTISTIC PUPILS have ensured there is no escaping the healthy eating message at Glamis Primary School.

A health-promoting mural now stands proud on their playground shelter wall as a reminder to youngsters to adopt a healthy lifestyle—and has the added bonus of brightening up their surroundings.

Children were taken under the wing of artist John Lowrie to design the mural in the classroom during a series of workshops.

Their design was then transferred outdoors and painted by the youngsters under the supervision of Mr Lowrie.

The work is part of the school’s health-promoting initiative and the Angus-wide Hungry for Arts Success project, designed around the theme of healthy eating and lifestyle.
