THE COURIER’S campaign to scrap tolls on the Forth and Tay road bridges was applauded at the SNP spring conference in Dundee yesterday.

Winding up a debate on the tolls Dundee East MSP Shona Robison praised the campaign, which has won massive support across Fife and Tayside.

“First of all well done to The Courier for their campaign,” she said.

“Firstly for focusing all of our minds for the need to take the tolls off the Tay and the Forth, and for highlighting the hypocrisy of those who said they would support the campaign, but would not put their money where their mouths are when it came to a vote.”
