Models take to runway

Models Abbie Taylor, Saphira Kurschner and Jennifer Macrae.

MODEL STUDENTS from St Andrews University had a flavour of RAF Leuchars yesterday ahead of a charity fashion show there this weekend.

A group of 10 undergraduates strutted their stuff on a runway as they prepared for the event entitled Don’t Walk.

Charlie Foster, part of the student organising team, said the event will be held at the base, instead of a hotel, to keep costs to a minimum.

The near-three-hour programme is a sell-out with more than 700 people expected in an aeroplane hangar to see 28 students model fashions from some of Europe’s leading designers.

The sponsors are the Oak Rooms, St Andrews, and delivery firm DHL.

All profits will go to Hollybush House, Scotland’s only treatment centre for former servicemen and women traumatised by experiences on active duty, and the Arthritis Research Campaign’s Noddy Appeal.
