LOCHORE WELFARE yesterday appointed former Leeds United scout John Devine as their new manager. He takes over from Peter Hutton, who resigned on Tuesday night. Devine is a local man but lived for a long spell in England, during which time he coached amateur side Hemsworth Town before being taken on board by Leeds. A club spokesman said, “John has a wealth of experience having managed Benarty amateurs up here as well as spending 12 years down south. “We had a very high standard of candidate for the post and we are pleased with the outcome. “We would also like to thank Peter for the sterling work he put in. He came in at the start of last year under very difficult circumstances and we wish him all the best.” |
