Flooding problems for drivers

Cars negotiate the junction at Strathmartine, Camperdown and Gillburn roads.

INTENSE DOWNPOURS caused localised flooding in areas to the north of the Kingsway in Dundee yesterday evening. A police spokesperson said that the affected areas were mainly in the Kirkton and St Mary’s sections of the city.

The spokesperson said that although there had been a lot of rain, ground water was expected to clear quickly and no lasting effects were anticipated.
