FORFAR FIRMS which have witnessed job-creating rapid expansion sealed an investment deal yesterday.

GLF Forklift and Handling Services has supplied two Heli electric forklift trucks, worth a substantial five-figure sum, to PressureLink Contracting (Scotland).

PressureLink’s staff have risen from four to 18 in just three years and in 2006 is investing around £200,000 in its growth plans.

The firm prepares and finishes industrial containers and other items for export throughout the UK and abroad, shot-blasting them, painting, fitting lifting equipment, applying non-slip surfaces, hazard information and other decals.

It is opening a new paint shop soon, investing in new compressors which are energy-efficient and a solvent-recovery plant at its Orchardbank Industrial Estate base.

GLF, set up by Graham Fleming, has also enjoyed fortune on the employment front, going from one to four members of staff in just over two years.

Mr Fleming said of the latest bit of business between the firms, “It helps to keep investment money in the town.”
