Disturbance delays Superfast ferry

THE SUPERFAST FERRY was delayed for more than 30 minutes at the port of Rosyth at the weekend following a minor disturbance on board.

Police were called to the ferry on Saturday afternoon after the captain of the Greek-owned vessel reported a problem.

A number of vehicles had to be driven off the ship while the matter was sorted out.

A 26-year-old man was detained by officers. He was later released.

A Fife Police spokesman confirmed a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal in Dunfermline.
