RADIO DJ Chris Evans is due to broadcast his Radio 2 show from a Fife couple’s living room this evening after they won the chance live on air.

Millions of listeners across the UK will hear the Drivetime programme coming from the home of Mary and Bob Murdoch, who live in Auchterderran, near Cardenden, between 5-7pm.

They won the opportunity after Auchterderran was picked out of a UK tombola containing the names of every city, town, village and hamlet in the country.

Listeners were then asked to contact the station explaining why the show should be broadcast from their homes, prompting Mary (60) to text in the parish’s claims to fame—namely Rebus author Ian Rankin and former Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper John Thomson.

As part of the programme, top Scottish rockers Primal Scream are also expected to perform in their house—an attraction which is sure to draw music fans to Mr and Mrs Murdoch’s home in Balgreggie Road.
