AROUND 50 festive bikers made their way to children’s respite centre Glenlaw House at King’s Cross Hospital to hand over £545 on Saturday.
Most of the Dundee Bikers’ Forum members wore Christmas outfits and decorated their bikes in tinsel and other adornments to deliver the donation.
Santa hats were taped to helmets and tinsel and baubles dangled from indicators and mirrors, and a few bikers even went the whole hog with Santa suits, hats and beards.
Glenlaw House opened in 2003 after a £500,000 investment turned what was once the hospital’s respiratory block into a centre offering short stays for severely disabled children, temporarily relieving families from round-the-clock care.
The bikers then rode on to Discovery Point to hand over children’s presents to Dundee Women’s Aid.
