A CHANCE of a lifetime to play golf over two Open Champion-ship venues has caught the imagination of enthusiasts around the globe.

An internet auction organised by the St Andrews Pilgrim Foundation charity is offering a week-long golfing holiday for four people in the spring. The prize has attracted a great deal of interest with a top bid of $9100.

The prize will go to the highest bidder and the package includes five-star accommodation at the luxurious Fairmont St Andrews hotel, as well as play over three of the best links courses in the world—the Old Course in St Andrews and the Carnoustie and the Kingsbarns links.

The social programme includes a whisky tasting, harbour cruise and a private visit and tour of the clubhouse of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club.
