EIGHT YOUNG ice skaters have been sharpening their skills in Dundee for travelling to Nottingham to compete in the British Championships.

All members of Dundee Ice Skating Club, they are set to take part in various events at the National Ice Centre where the competition is being held throughout next week.

Coached by Debi and Simon Briggs, the hopefuls are aged between 11 and 21.

A final training session took place at the Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday.
