Buyers snapping up new luxury homes

A LUXURY housing development is taking shape in Perth, with more than half the properties already sold.

The Axiom development, which is being built by Barratt Homes, is in Crieff Road and consists of one and two bedroom flats.

There will be 75 apartments built, with prices starting at around £140,000.

The first phase of properties was released for sale in March last year and the first owners are expected to move in late spring/early summer.

David Scott, Barratt North Scotland’s sales director, is delighted with the level of interest in Axiom and yesterday said that he believes the development’s popularity can be attributed to the fact it offers potential purchasers a great opportunity to take their first step on to the property ladder.

“Buyers have been attracted to Axiom by the superb range of choice and great value for money available at the development and feedback from our customers so far has been extremely positive,” he said.

“Buyers have been quick to commit to the development and, with the local housing market set to remain strong and the continued lack of reasonably-priced properties in and around Perth city centre, I fully expect the sales success we have already experienced at Axiom to continue throughout 2007.”

The apartments have 11 different styles.
