OXFAM STAFF in Forfar are ready to blow the local shop’s trumpet in the effort to make an impact in their Red Nose fund-raising.

Various coloured conks are due to go on sale next week in the run up to March 16 Red Nose Day and staff at the West High Street branch are keen to push the promotion and encourage a big local response.

“We generally have quite a busy time with Red Nose items and this year they have brought some Fairtrade goods into the scheme so we hope people will come in and give us their support,” said volunteer manager Liz Barnett.
