TOURISTS WERE encouraged to clock on in Dundee yesterday and revel in the delights the city can offer in just 48 hours.
A multitude of clocks on the steps of the Caird Hall signalled the launch of the new brochure “48 hours in Dundee,” an innovative campaign spearheaded by tourism specialists Destination Dundee.
On the back of last year’s successful Radio 1’s One Big Weekend, which attracted thousands of music fans to the city to enjoy a free weekend of music, Destination Dundee believe there is a huge groundswell of interest in the city and the surrounding area.
Destination Dundee project manager Ann Butler said the new brochure had been designed to satisfy those demands by highlighting the breadth of pursuits and attractions which can be crammed into a weekend break.
