A NEW edition of the Events in Fife brochure covering what’s happening from March to July is now available.

The publication is the largest yet and features more than 400 events ranging from craft fairs to the British Superbike Championship. It promises to have something to suit all tastes.

Linda Thomson, Fife Council’s events strategy co-ordinator, said, “We produce and distribute over 100,000 of Events in Fife across Scotland and further afield every year. It is a wonderful opportunity to promote Fife on the strength of its events programme.

“We have been finding that the publication is encouraging people who live in Fife to visit events they never knew happened on their doorstep and it has certainly done its job in terms of attracting visitors from outwith the area.

“All credit is due to the event organisers for sending in their event details to us. We have also found a significant increase in the number of people who are putting their event information directly on to www.fifedirect.org.uk

“This is a great facility as new events are being added every day and it also allows people to see what events are on throughout the year as well as hosting a whole range of other information.”

Copies of Events in Fife are available at libraries, local area offices, tourist information centres and visitor attractions. To join the free mailing list and have a copy sent, people are asked to call 08451 555558 with their name and address.
