DUNFERMLINE are likely to appeal the red card issued to Tam McManus against Inverness Caley Thistle on Saturday.
McManus received his marching orders in injury time following a clash with Caley’s Ian Black but the Pars believe he was harshly dealt with and are poised to try to have the decision overturned.
“With Scott Wilson and Jim Hamilton both suspended for the next two matches, the last thing we need is for Tam to be out as well,” said Dunfermline boss Stephen Kenny.
“We are waiting to see a video replay of the incident and then we will make a decision. But there is a high probability that we will appeal because what happened was accidental. There was no deliberate intent.
“Tam tried to clear Ian Black as the Inverness player came in. Black had his foot up to protect himself and from what I could see the legs just got tangled.
“It’s entirely likely we will appeal.”
