Third time lucky for Arbroath

ARBROATH TAKE on Dumbarton at the Strathclyde Homes stadium tonight at the third time of asking after the first match was abandoned and the second was postponed.

The Lichties go into the tie on a high following their 3-0 victory over Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill on Saturday.

They are looking for their 10th win in 11 matches to close to within a point of leaders Berwick.

Gayfield boss John McGlashan has a full squad— apart from Barry Sellars who is recovering from his recent stomach operation—as his side bid to cut the gap on league leaders Berwick to just a point.

Defender Jamie Bishop, who missed the weekend win over Albion Rovers through suspension, returns to the squad.

McGlashan said, “In January, Dumbarton were my tips for the division, but they have gone through a bad spell at the wrong time.

“But in my opinion they have the most talented pool of players in the league and we go there knowing we have to be at our very best.”
