Call made to help get council on right paths

PERTHSHIRE RESIDENTS are being invited to come along to Core Paths planning consultation events to put their store of local knowledge to good use.

The map-based consultation exercises will be an opportunity for people to show officers routes and pathways used for walking, riding and cycling—information that will help to create a better path network for Perth and Kinross.

As well as identifying current and new routes, officers would like to hear ideas about where the path network could extend to.

Council officers are hoping to hear from residents in the Auchterarder, Blackford, Aberuthven, Glendevon and Braco areas and a number of drop-in sessions are planned this month.

They include Gask church hall next Wednesday from 6-9.30pm, Greenloaning Primary School on Monday, April 16, from 2.30-5pm, Braco Primary School the same day from 5.30-7pm (before the community council meeting) and the Aytoun Hall, Auchterarder, on Wednesday, April 18, from 6-9.30pm.

There will also be sessions at Blackford village hall on Thursday, April 19, from 6-9.30pm and Aberuthven village hall on Tuesday, April 24, from 6-9.30pm.

Anyone who would like to contribute but who cannot attend their nearest meeting can contact council access officer Dave Stubbs on 01738 475347 or at dstubbs@pkc.gov.uk
