Explaining heritage and youth lottery funding

AN EVENT for voluntary and community groups interested or involved in working with young people, and with heritage projects, has been organised by Angus Council’s external funding team.

Teams from the Big Lottery Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund will be giving presentations and one-to-one funding surgeries with Angus groups on Wednesday, April 18, at the Volunteer Centre, Guthrie Port, Arbroath, from 1pm.

They will be on hand to explain what sort of projects can be funded and to encourage more groups from the area to apply.

The team from the Big Lottery Fund will be trying to encourage more applications from Angus, where take-up of the scheme has been particularly low.

The Heritage Lottery Fund will be promoting their smaller grant programmes—Young Roots and Your Heritage.

Members of youth or heritage groups interested in coming along should contact the external funding team on 01307 473221 or Email externalfunding@ angus.gov.uk
