KENNOWAY’S OLD primary school is to be demolished, following complaints of anti-social behaviour.
Windows have been smashed and groups of drunken youths have been seen congregating at the empty building since pupils moved to their new school in February.
Concerns raised by nearby residents and the local community prompted Fife Council’s estates team to confirm that funding has been made available for the demolition project and the successful tenderer would be appointed in the near future.
The new school was built as part of Fife Council’s £63 million Expanding Horizons project, which will eventually see nine schools built across Fife.
