THE POPULARITY of Scottish Labour leader Jack McConnell not only seems to have waned at the ballot box in Dundee but also at the bookshop.
The politician’s star has been on the wane since being deposed as First Minister in this month’s elections and his personal misfortunes seem to have affected sales of his biography Lucky Jack. The book—which recounts his rise to the position of Scotland’s first citizen—has been spotted in the book shop The Works in Dundee’s Overgate centre for a bargain price of 99p, cheaper than a children’s Mr Worry book.
The hardback, written by journalist Lorraine Davidson and published by Black and White, normally retails at £14.99.
