Stepping out

The pupils enjoy a well-earned rest.

GLAMIS PRIMARY youngsters chose a rather regal destination for their involvement in Walk to School Week yesterday.

With many of the school’s pupils bussed to classes, staff were keen that they did not miss out on the chance to participate in the national programme to encourage a healthier lifestyle and arranged a sponsored walk to Glamis Castle and back.

Primary 3-7 children enjoyed the jaunt, while the younger pupils rounded off their week-long involvement with another two laps of the primary grounds, which was their daily exercise diet during the challenge.

Proceeds from the sponsored walk are to go towards initiatives including the project to create an all-weather pitch in Kirriemuir, which cluster schools are to benefit from.
