THE VIEW’S lead singer Kyle Falconer has been forced to spend a day with an antibiotic drip in his arm in a Japanese hospital after developing blood poisoning while on tour.
Kyle (19) was taken to the hospital in Fukuoka on Thursday after a blister on his foot turned septic and became poisoned.
His mother Elizabeth said last night that he was fine and had even managed to play a gig at night.
“He’s really fine. He phoned me yesterday and this afternoon and said he had to get a drip for antibiotics and spent the day in the hospital.
“They didn’t have to operate though and he’s got to go back to get it dressed tomorrow.
“So he was OK and he didn’t have to miss his gig at night.”
Kyle was taken to hospital in Dundee just after Christmas suffering from pneumonia.
The View are touring Japan at the moment following their European tour and return to the UK at the end of the month for more domestic dates.
