DUNDONIANS WILL have to wait until October to find out if the city is to feature on a new edition of Monopoly.
An online public vote to determine which cities in the UK will be immortalised on the board game has been held since April 20 and closed at midnight last night.
Gamemakers Parker announced last month they were to create a Monopoly Here & Now UK edition featuring 22 British locations chosen by the public, in place of the traditional London landmarks.
The winning location will represent the most prestigious square, Mayfair, with the second and third place taking over Park Lane and Bond Street, respectively.
Before the leader board closed to the public at the end of last week, the top-ranked location was St Albans, with Exeter, Cambridge and Sheffield also featuring in the top five. Dundee was ranked sixth with Piccadilly, with over 31,000 votes.
The official announcement of the winner of the poll will be made on October 1.
