THE CARNOUSTIE Partnership has produced a badge to promote the town ahead of next month’s Open Championship.

The lapel badge was launched yesterday on the 18th green of Carnoustie Championship Golf Course.

Sue McMahon, from the Carnoustie Partnership, said, “Residents of Carnoustie will wear the badge to show that they are proud of the town and visitors can buy it as a memento of their visit here.”

The badge, which has taken 18 months to design and produce, is available at shops and businesses displaying the sign, priced at £1.50.
