PERTH CONCERT Hall last night marked Veterans’ Day by hosting around 150 former service personnel.

Former soldiers, sailors and members of the RAF came together to mark the occasion.

Provost John Hulbert said, “We had a terrific response to this local celebration and I was pleased to see so many veterans there representing all of the armed services as well as other organisations.

“The level of representation here was a mark of the strength of the long-standing links between Perth and various veterans’ organisations.

“It is fitting that we mark the impact that these people have made on the course of history and acknowledge the sacrifices made by so many of their colleagues.”
