A PICTURESQUE corner of Angus moved to the beat of dozens of drums yesterday as a major festival winds up to its weekend climax.

People of all ages from across the globe have flocked to Glenisla this week for the latest African Drum Village which has been organised by Angus man Steve Haden.

He has billed it as the first and only drum festival in Scotland, featuring nearly 90 workshops delivered by 14 teachers.

Mr Haden created the extravaganza through his involvement in his Angus-based Afrodisiac African drumming group.

It has attracted leading musicians including Grassroots Zimbabwe, making the county the first step of a UK tour.
