Appeal to help find Harley rider

A CANADIAN tourist has appealed to Dundonians to help her track down a Harley Davidson rider who gifted her the shirt off his back.

Carla Carlson was touring Scotland last month with her daughter and they left their Stirling base for a trip to Dundee in search of a Harley Davidson Scotland shirt for her husband, who had stayed at home in British Columbia.

Following a search around the city, she was preparing to accept defeat when during her return trip to the train station she heard a Harley roaring.

“I heard the engine and turned to see a man and woman sitting on a beautiful black Harley Davidson,” Carla said.

“They were both dressed in leathers and parked next to me. I went up and asked the man if he knew where I could get my husband a Harley T-shirt with Scotland printed on the back. He suggested Edinburgh but I told him that I had already been there and couldn’t find one.”

She added, “He turned and told me he would give me his.

“But before I had time to protest he had literally taken the shirt off his own back and handed me the most perfect Harley Davidson shirt with Scotland on the back.”

Carla said her encounter happened during the second week of July and described the man as big with short blonde hair and his fellow rider as a woman with dark, curly shoulder length hair. Both were dressed in full leathers.

Anyone with any information about the generous Harley rider should contact The Courier by calling Dundee 223131 or Email courier@dcthomson.co.uk.
