Brechin look to get back on track

BRECHIN have not made the start to the season they’d hoped to.

City suffered a 3-0 reversal against Queen’s Park at Hampden and followed that by crashing out of the CIS Cup at the hands of Stirling Albion.

While that’s not the kind of form manager Michael O’Neill was looking for, he maintains he has also seen lots of positives ahead of today’s home clash with Peterhead.

“Our first game was dis- appointing, but we can put that to one side because of the problems we had with suspensions,” he said.

“And our cup game the other night was very encouraging. We deserved to get something from the game.

“It was a mistake by one of our most reliable players that gifted the goal to Stirling, but there was very little in the game and we definitely had the better of the second half.

“We haven’t had the best start, but it’s not a disaster.”

City will be without goalkeeper Craig Nelson and defender John Ward through suspension Gary Fusco (knee) is also out.
