ONE OF Perth Museum’s most fascinating—and little-seen—exhibits is receiving a rare public airing.
The 3000-year-old Egyptian mummy is normally kept in climate controlled conditions to preserve her, with visitors allowed to view by appointment only.
She has been taken from storage to star in the museum’s Painted Ladies exhibition.
The museum holds several ancient Egyptian objects, a major source of which was James Pringle Riach, who in 1833 donated material to the Perth Literary and Antiquarian Society, a predecessor body of Perth Museum.
