Have your say, urges MEP

DUNFERMLINE-BASED MEP Catherine Stihler has called on the public to make their opinions heard on the future of the replacement crossing over the Forth.

She said, “Transport Scotland have organised a series of public information events designed to inform people of the choices and allow them to have their say on the replacement crossing.

“I feel, with so many residents of Fife and the Lothians being directly affected by these decisions, it is only fair they have a say in the outcome.”

Mrs Stihler also revealed she will be setting up a meeting with Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson to discuss legislations and activities in the European Parliament which could offer positive help in the process.

The displays start at 2pm on Monday in the Queensferry Hotel, North Queensferry.

They will then run from 10am to 8pm daily in the following venues:—

Queensferry Hotel, North Queensferry, from Tuesday to Friday next week; Balgeddie House Hotel, Glenrothes, on August 28, Dean Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy, on August 29; and the Business Learning and Conference Centre in Halbeath on August 31. The exhibition will also be held in the Queensferry Hotel from 10am-5pm on August 25.
