A GROUP of employees from Halifax Bank of Scotland are closing in on their target of raising £5000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Their latest effort took place at the Orocco Pier restaurant in South Queensferry last month and proved a huge success.
The team, nicknamed the Honey Bees, used to work at the HBoS campus at Rosyth Europarc but relocated to Livingston in April.
They have held numerous events, including a dressing down day at Pittencrieff Primary School and bag packing at a supermarket in Dunfermline.
The ladies’ lunch at the Orocco Pier, which attracted 120 people, was one of the highlights of their campaign.
Liz Michie said, “We cannot thank everyone enough for all the support they have given us, from family members to friends and acquaintances.
“We are still working on collecting more funds and hope by the closing date in September that we will not be far away from the target we set ourselves of £5000.”
The Honey Bees are Jane Wilson, Liz Michie, Venessa Hunter, Vickie Fitzgerald, Kelly Thornton, Alison McKenzie, Kerry Logan, Lesley Hempseed, Claire Hall, Jackie Wilson and Pam Bower.
The trust helps some of the 2000 teenagers each year in the UK who are diagnosed with cancer.
