Accident victim was ‘loving dad’

A 72-YEAR-OLD Fife man who died in a road accident near Crieff earlier this week was a loving family man who liked nothing better than to help other people, one of his sons said yesterday.

Shaun Frame was paying tribute to his dad Jimmy following the accident on the Crieff to Madderty road on Wednesday afternoon.

He explained that Mr Frame, who had lived in Leven with his devoted partner Irene Allan for the past 12 years, had been out for the day, and was driving home when the accident happened.

A former foreman gas fitter, Mr Frame took early retirement when he was 57 and loved being a man of leisure, said Shaun.

“He enjoyed travelling the world, he loved his family and friends and was always out and about visiting people.

“Any time he could help someone out, he would,” said Shaun, who has a brother, Jimmy, and sister, Janie.

Mr Frame, who did his national service with the Royal Corps of Signals, was vice-president of Denbeath Pensioners’ group, a committee member of Methil ex-servicemen’s club and a member of the Royal British Legion in Leven.

Shaun continued, “Dad loved his clubs, he was an avid bingo caller at them all.

“He loved to be involved, he was a real people person and had a great sense of humour

“We are all devastated by his death, he was a great father to us and a smashing grandfather to Janie’s children, Michael (5) and Daniel (3).

“We all miss him.”

Shaun praised the two police officers who broke the tragic news of Mr Frame’s death to his family.

“PCs Paul Gillespie and Derek Gillespie were absolutely fantastic from the moment they came to the house—they spent a lot of time with us, and they went way above and beyond the call of duty.

“I’d also like to thank family liaison officer PC Andy Millar and our family, friends and the many others who knew dad who have supported us,” he said.
