DUNDEE’S WESTPORT was rocking to the sound of The Law yesterday afternoon when the band played a free open-air gig to promote their new single.
The rising Dundee stars played a short set in front of around 200 fans in The Doghouse beer garden ahead of the release of their latest track Still Got Friday To Go—out today.
The band are now gearing up for a stripped down acoustic set specifically aimed at their younger fans in Borders Dundee at 5pm today.
Law frontman Stuart Purvey said, “Borders aren’t going to know what’s hit them. We heard there are people being bussed in especially to see us. The free gig at The Doghouse was for over-14s but Borders is for any age.
“We wanted to give something back to the fans with the release of the new single because they’ve given us so much support—especially the Dundee fans. They’re the greatest!”
The Law have just signed a contract to record an album and are said to have a number of big name producers waiting in the wings to handle the mixing-desk.
Stuart added, “We don’t want to say too much about it just yet but we have a couple of names in the bag.
“The album will include all of the favourites you’ve already heard plus a load of new songs that we’re working on at the moment.”
