A TEENAGE girl has lost her fight for life following an Angus road accident earlier this month.
Wendy Jane Tulloch (14), from Montrose, died in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, on Friday, nine days after suffering serious injuries in the crash on the A937 Hillside-Montrose road.
Wendy was a front-seat passenger in a Citroen Saxo car which was involved in a collision with a Mercedes truck near Loandykes during the morning rush hour.
Fire crews had to cut Miss Tulloch free from the mangled wreckage of the hatchback after it became wedged under the lorry.
She was subsequently taken under police escort to Ninewells.
Four other occupants, the 40-year-old female driver of the car and three young rear seat passengers, two boys aged eight and 12 and a five-year-old girl, were also taken to hospital after the crash but were not seriously hurt.
The young victim is survived by her parents Tom and Angela, brothers Michael and Andrew and sister Catherine.
Her funeral service is due to take place in Montrose on Friday.
