GERARD KELLY and Tony Roper will again don the half-mast trousers and iconic wigs of Francie and Josie as they take to the stage for the return of top theatre show Rikki And Me.
A celebration of Scotland’s favourite comic, Rikki Fulton, and a recreation of the brilliant routines of Francie and Josie, Supercop, and the Reverend I. M. Jolly, the show returns to Perth Theatre from October 24 to 27.
Rikki And Me was a huge success, selling out, when it visited the theatre last October.
Alyson Orr reprises her role as Rikki Fulton’s wife Kate, upon whose book the show is loosely based.
Stevie Hannan also returns in multifarious roles that see him playing everyone from God to the Queen.
The show is written by Tony Roper and Fulton’s former script editor and producer on Scotch And Wry—and writer of Only An Excuse?—Philip Differ.
Gerard Kelly, who directs and also stars as Jack Milroy, said, “Last summer Tony and I had a great time touring with Rikki And Me and I am very much looking forward to putting Jack Milroy’s red suit on this summer.
“It was such a joy to stand before audiences and perform an act that had been perfected by two masters of their craft.”
Tony Roper said, “After the fantastic response we had from audiences up and down the land, it’s a real joy to be able to do it again.
“As a performer, when you hear an audience cry with both laughter and sadness it makes for a very rewarding evening.”
Tickets are available now.
