Woman’s festival drugs fine

A WOMAN who was hallucinating at T in the Park was yesterday fined £250 for possessing ecstasy.

Annie Joanne Noble (43), Corby, Northamptonshire, admitted that on July 8, at the Balado festival, she breached the peace by repeatedly shouting for help and refusing to stop.

She also admitted she had £9 worth of ecstasy and £5 of amphetamine.

Depute fiscal Stuart Richardson said Noble approached two policemen at 9.40pm to tell them of a “bizarre incident.”

“She told the officers that she had seen a car with petrol coming out of it and exhaust fumes pouring from the vehicle,” he said.

“The police asked her to show them the car but it couldn’t be found.

“She then said she needed to catch a bus and was told she was in the right area for one to stop.

“The officers said it wouldn’t be long before one came along.

“The woman then started shouting for help to no-one in particular.”
