TESCO ERECTED new signs on the location of their proposed store in Arbroath yesterday morning.

The two colourful signs on the former Westburn Foundary site at Stobcross state Tesco—New Store with pictures of own brand products in the background.

It is the first sign of life on the site since Tesco were granted full planning permission by Angus Council in August.

However, many in Arbroath remain sceptical that the supermarket company will move into the site after their attempt to purchase neighbouring Bruce House from Angus Council so they could build a bigger store failed.
