A group of Scouts from the west of Fife hosted counterparts from the Netherlands at the Fordell Firs activity centre near Dunfermline at the weekend. They were there to take part in the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Jamboree on the Air. Don Yard, leader of the 81st Fife (1st Broomhill) Sea Scout Group, said, “It allows us to get in touch with Scouts all over the world by amateur radio to exchange ideas, learn from each other and gain mutual understanding.” The group from Kerkrade rounded off their visit to Scotland with a ceilidh in Limekilns.
