Firefighters used cutting gear to rescue a Kelty kitty that got its head trapped in the grille of a washing machine.
A crew from Lochgelly rushed to Beechbank Crescent after the kitten’s owners raised the alarm at lunchtime.
Station Officer Alan Snowden said, “The little kitten got his head in but was not able to get it out and the more it panicked, the more its neck area became inflamed. It was a bit panicky but its owners managed to calm it down.
“We used hand held cutting gear and it didn’t take us long.”
He said the kitten was unharmed after its ordeal.
