WORLD RENOWNED South African vocal group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, brought a touch of their roots to the Caird Hall in Dundee last night.
The eight-piece band, who provided inspiration to Nelson Mandela during his imprisonment and was invited to play at his birthday party after his release, are touring to promote their latest album Ilembe: Our Tribute To King Shaka.
Formed in 1960 by Joseph Shabalala, the group rose to fame when they appeared on Paul Simon’s seminal album Graceland in 1986.
Last night’s concert attracted an audience of over 1000.
