A WOMAN who was a Samaritan around twenty years ago and joined again in recent years donated £500 to the Dundee branch of the charity last night.
Doris Howie asked friends and family to celebrate her 70th birthday by donating to the cause instead of giving her presents.
She handed over the money raised at the charity’s premises in Old Glamis Road.
The Samaritans aim to be available at any hour for those experiencing personal crises and in imminent danger of taking their own lives.
