THE CUTTING edge of hairdressing talent came to Dundee University yesterday to inspire budding stylists.

Charlie Taylor, a three-time winner of Scottish Hairdresser of The Year, shared her experiences of running a successful business in the hair and beauty industry with an audience of students.

The entrepreneur, who jointly owns four salons including one in Dundee, is the latest business figure to support the supercoach talk series, aimed at students at the enterprise gym.

Held in the Dundee University Student Association’s Liar Bar, the event coincided with Women’s Enterprise Day.

Part of the centre for enterprise management, the E-gym was created to enable undergraduate students to develop business schemes, entrepreneurial skills and self-reliance.

The supercoach sessions are one of the most popular features of the E-gym, attracting leading figures from the business community to pass on their expertise.
