HISTORY CAME alive in Perth yesterday as archive and history societies combined to offer advice on researching the past.
The Scottish Records Association’s (SRA) free local history event was run alongside its conference in Perth Concert Hall.
The Scottish Screen Archive showed historic film footage, while there was an information desk and display stands to help those who are interested in local and family history.
Among the contributors were staff and researchers from the National Archives of Scotland, the Friends of Perth and Kinross Council Archives, Tay Valley Family History Society and the Scottish Catholic Archives.
The SRA conference itself covered the history and records of organised religion in Scotland.
