A MAN is expected to appear in Kirkcaldy Sheriff court today after the safe resolution of a domestic incident in a flat on Strathkinnes Road late on Wednesday.

An eight-hour stand-off developed from 3.10pm with specialist staff attempting to persuade a person to leave the flat, eventually removing him at 11.30pm.

Officers cordoned off part of the street and evacuating the immediate neighbours.

Police could not confirm or deny whether the man was alone in the flat.
