GRAMPIAN POLICE are investigating an indecent assault in Stonehaven which occurred in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The incident involving a 17-year-old girl occurred on Kings Road.

The girl was grabbed and assaulted by an unknown male as she walked along the road. She was uninjured.

Police are anxious to trace two men accompanied by children or young teenagers who saw she was crying and went to her assistance some time around 3.30 and 4am.
