ANYONE INTERESTED in learning how to manage a theatre wardrobe and put together costumes may be interested in a new group established at Kirkcaldy’s Adam Smith College.
The college has a small collection of theatre costumes, including some historical clothes and fantasy costumes.
The new group of theatre costumiers is learning how to prepare and present costumes for productions as well as learning about the history, design and manufacture of the clothes.
As well as having a go at making costumes, the group will get the chance to see their creations used in the college’s many theatre productions.
Meetings take place every second Tuesday at 7pm in the college’s St Brycedale Campus.
The summer production of The Crucible will be a major part of the theatre arts programme and the costumiers plan to make costumes from the late 17th century.
Previous needlework experience is not required and all sewing materials will be provided.
